Jodie was born in Newfoundland but spent a portion of her childhood in Manitoba where she adapted and absorbed Indigenous culture while maintaining her traditional Newfoundland roots.  The blending of these two very different cultures is apparent in her artwork with pieces ranging from northern lights and native dancers to rocky shorelines and weather-worn fishing boats.   Jodie is also a member of the PCSP Arts Association.
